Many lifetimes ago I was a lawyer, working unsustainable hours indoors at a computer, while also training hard to run my first marathon. The constant in this period of my life was injury. I couldn’t understand why I kept “breaking”, and felt like it was all my fault. I tried everything under the sun, and it was only after a lot of time, money and failed training cycles that I realized I was doing it all wrong and the resources out there were not pointing me in the right direction.
Through this frustration, I realized that I had to take my education into my own hands in order to create the injury-free future I wanted for myself and for the running community as a whole. I left my law career and entered into the outdoors and fitness industry. I hit the books, got trained, educated, certified and started exploring the possibility that there was a better way for us runners to train, stay healthy, and not get completely consumed by the training process itself.
After I quit my job in law, I started working at a local specialty running store so I could be surrounded by like-minded people as I built up my coaching business and continued on with my education. I now coach runners all over the US, both 1:1 and in group settings as they learn how to reach their goals sustainably, train more functionally, and build running into their lives for the long-term.
This is why I HATE cookie cutter programs and formulaic approaches to training for runners. They are usually too general to be helpful and many are currently outdated and not based on the latest research and science. I believe all runners of all abilities deserve something more – something made for them and a coach who can support them on their unique journey. I look forward to supporting you soon!

I’ve become so frustrated with the amount of random people out there giving advice or “professional runners” telling people how to deadlift. I want you to be able to run injury-free for the long term and take pride in the certifications I have earned and the ongoing education I participate in to help you get there. I know that there’s so much advice out there and it can be hard to know who to trust, which is why I pride myself in the education-based, science-backed running expertise I’ve built over the years.
I believe all runners of all abilities deserve something that is made for them from the ground up. Although we may have similar injury patterns or underlying currents, all bodies are different. When we work together, I will create an individualized, sustainable plan for YOUR goals, lifestyle and commitments. You are unique and your training should reflect that.
I believe this to my core, which is why I don’t just look at you as another client to check off my list of scheduling. I look at our relationship through the lens of empathy and compassion. When we work together, expect that I’ll ask about your family, know your kids names, and cheer you on from the sidelines (whether in person, on your Instagram post or a kudos on your Strava activity). I care about you as more than an athlete, I care about you as a person. This is a brave container for us to share together.
We keep doing things the same way and expect different results, but that’s not the way it goes. There’s a better way to train, there is a way to stay injury free, there is a way to train and not have it take up all your time. My unique method and holistic approach to training involves keeping a balanced load, targeted cross training and efficient scheduling that will allow you to thrive as the runner you want to be and still live your life.
I’m precise in the language I use in my classes because it matters. And I’m intentional in everything that I say and do and that carries over into training and how I coach. You’re busy and you lead a busy life. I think you deserve precise training with a purpose, meaning everything that you need to build a more sustainable, balanced running routine and absolutely nothing you don’t.
I have discounted classes and offerings because my coaching is not reserved for only those who are wealthy, privileged or uber-talented. I’ve been in a place where I couldn’t afford to train with a coach in a way that kept me healthy, so I turned to a lot “free” resources by so-called experts which always ended with me injured. I want the running community as a whole to be elevated and injury-free and am happy to work with you to find a way to work together, regardless of financial barriers.
In our work together, I hope to help you uncover your inner athlete and build a stronger, faster, healthier, resilient and more balanced version of yourself for your upcoming race and many more race days to come. Together we will navigate through the ups, the downs, and the plateaus to help you reach your goals AND actually enjoy the process.
Running is more than the miles you log. It’s often the work that you put in around your runs, cross-training and complementary activities that makes the most difference in how you perform and how you recover. I’ve intentionally studied and gotten certified in a variety of different methods that allow me to guide you to become a more well-rounded runner and athlete. Athletes that include a focused strength and mobility component into their run training are less injury prone (and therefore have less disruptions or breaks in their training blocks) which results in better consistency and improved running progression.
Whether you’re an elite athlete who is hitting a plateau in performance, or that injury prone runner who can’t seem to stay healthy, these programs are for you. Let’s work together to reach those big, scary goals and celebrate the smaller milestones along the way. All surfaces, all distances, all abilities and experience levels are welcome.
Join classes easily from your phone! Strength and mobility classes ranging from 5-45 minutes that help you perform better, recover faster and prepare for the miles ahead
